About DTM Grab Hire

DTM Grab Hire was established in 2020, when our sister company, Devon Tarmasters (SW), a long-established groundworks firm, recognised that there was a gap in the market for reliable, reputable and cost-effective grab hire services.

We are a family-run firm based in the heart of Devon, who have been operating in the groundworks trade for over 30 years. Unfortunately, it took us that long to realise that we were bored of being let down and overcharged by other Grab companies who were unreliable and overpriced – and so DTM Grab Hire was born in 2020 ( We tried not to let the small issue of a pandemic rain on our parade!)

Located on the edge of the A38 in Ashburton, we are ideally located to service the South West and we do pride ourselves on our central base – we are never too far away from our customers!

We undertake both commercial and residential works and will happily discuss with you the best options for the service you want. We take huge pride in delivering a great customer experience, and our current works are based solely upon word of mouth and referrals – a testament to the great reputation we have built in such a short space of time.

We currently operate 6-wheel (12 tonnes) and 8-wheel (16 tonnes) lorries to remove your waste and we are fully license by the environment agency under the 2011 Waste regulations, giving you peace of mind alongside providing a quality service.
